Especially pray for all children starting a new
playgroup or school. Pray
they will settle in quickly, make friends easily and enjoy
their time there. Pray
school staff will quickly know and love their new charges.

guidance at Little Cornard’s PCC meeting this evening.

for
Pakistan
suffering terribly from floods.
Pray for aid to be distributed with the minimum of
corruption, and for disease to be contained as much as
possible.

Pray for the success of the
Assington Fête this afternoon, for good weather and good
community spirit as well as raising ample funds.

Pray for Archdeacon David Jenkins coming to preach
at the benefice service.
Pray that he will feel thoroughly welcome and will
receive and convey God’s inspiration to us all.

Also, pray for a good time
at the church cricket match this afternoon.

Pray for our home groups as
they reassemble after the summer, that God will lead every
member on to explore more deeply what the Christian faith
has to offer. Pray
for new people to join the groups and to become valued
members quickly and easily.

Thank
God for the harvest. Pray
that we will never forget that He is the supplier of all
our nourishment. Pray
for the harvest thanksgiving services that will take place
in our benefice and throughout the country, that they will
remind everyone to be grateful to God for our food.

is International Literacy Day.
Pray that the standard of literacy in our schools
will be high. Pray
for dyslexic children and those teaching them.
Pray that adults unable to read will seek help and
discover all that reading has to offer.

to lead and guide our PCC meeting this evening.
Pray for vision, unity, determination and
encouragement.

Today Ramadan, the Muslim
month of fasting, ends.
Pray that they will have drawn closer to God and be
filled with a spirit of
peace towards Christians.

service in the school hall tomorrow, for lots of people to
be there and for a time of fellowship, fun and praise to
God.

for truly thankful hearts for all God’s goodness.

Pray that they will be treated with dignity and

Pray God will help and guide Christians in this
parish to spread the gospel to everyone there.

Pray God will give Robin King wisdom and

, and for Daniel and Emilia Nalbantsky as they minister to
the very poor. Pray
that God will move us to give them as much financial
support as we can.

and especially the leaders of all the groups of young
people as they prepare for tomorrow’s sessions.
Ask God to inspire them and prepare the hearts of
the children to receive all He has to offer.

for everyone being confirmed at Long Melford today.
Ask God to anoint and fill them with his Holy
Spirit so that their lives will never be the same again as
they are filled with faith and the love of God.

for our curate Andy and his wife Jan Wolton in their final
months with us. Pray
that God will use their time here for their best in every
possible way. Pray
for His clear guidance for
their future.

Pray for our vicar Robin, his wife Katharine and
their sons Michael and Matthew.
Thank God for their long commitment to the benefice
and pray for God’s leading and guidance for them all.

pray for them as they juggle their duties with family

them settle in and build new lives.

with his Holy Spirit to equip them to preach His word, and
thank God for them.

Pray for people who have only recently started
coming to church. Pray
that they will enjoy the services and take in their stride
anything they find surprising or unfamiliar.
Pray that they fill find their faith in God
deepening.

Pray for the Rev. Chris
Ramsey who is being installed as the new vicar of Great
Cornard this evening.
Pray for a warm welcome and a spirit of acceptance
and encouragement for him and his family.
Especially pray for God’s work in this difficult
parish through Chris and all at St. Andrew’s Church.

graduated this year, that they will find careers that suit
them. Pray for
any who are struggling to find work, that God will guide
them.

Pray for everyone starting at university, that they
will not be homesick but quickly make new friends.
Ask God to protect them from unsavoury contacts and
drink and drugs.
Pray that Christian students will keep their faith
and those who do not know God will find Him.

for all young people taking a ‘gap year’ before going
to university. Ask
God to protect them and use this time to increase their
maturity and independence.
