Day.
Thank God
for the hope that Jesus’s Ascension into heaven gives
us.
Pray
for the
Baptist
Church
’s Deacons’ Meeting today, for vision, unity and
encouragement.

Pra
Pray for the Benefice Weekend at Letton Hall in
Norfolk
. Pray for
the protection of everyone going, for safe travel and
good health. Pray
for fine weather. Pray
for the worship, the teaching and the fellowship.
Also
pray for a good time for the children at this afternoon’s
session of the Friday Club in the Baptist Church Hall.

pray for everyone from our benefice at Letton Hall.
Pray for those leading and teaching, and those
doing the children’s work.
Pray for this to be a time of blessing and
spiritual growth for everyone who attends.

Pray for the final day of the Benefice Weekend.
Pray for lasting benefits which will bless each
person and in the long run
our whole community.

a happy family day on this Bank Holiday Monday.
Also, pray that we won’t forget to care for the
single people in our midst.

they have had time to revise well, that they will be
calm and able to concentrate, and give of their very

of Bures School Governors’ Meeting this evening.
Pray for the two new governors Philip and
Victoria. |

for our churchwardens Dick Gould and Alan Ryman as they
attend the Archdeacon’s visitation at the cathedral
today, when the swearing-in of all wardens in
the diocese for the year takes place.
Thank God for their commitment and dedication.

for the young people attending the Tweens Club.
Pray for Peter and Margaret and their helpers,
and for an excellent session.

for the Little Cornard Flower Festival today and
tomorrow. Pray
for fine weather and for many people to come and be
touched by God in this sacred spot.

Pentecost
(Whit Sunday).
Pray for God’s wonderful Holy Spirit to come on
all believers in our benefice so that our lives may
reflect the spirit of Jesus who revealed that God is
love.
Also, pray for Christian Aid Week this week, for enough
volunteers to collect money and for a handsome sum to be
raised.

Loss group meeting this evening.
Pray that these meetings will be an enormous help
to every bereaved person attending. |

for reader John Symons of Assington.
Thank God for his ministry and his compassion.
Pray for God to fill him daily with His Holy
Spirit.

God, who in the place of the traitor Judas
chose your faithful servant Matthias to be of the number

preserve your Church from false apostles and, by the
ministry of faithful pastors and teachers,
keep us steadfast in your truth.

God for the excellent material they have to work with
and ask God to inspire them.

Trinity Sunday. Pray for the cake stall in aid of Christian Aid
in this morning. Also,
pray for fine weather for this afternoon’s Rogation
Walk, for a happy time of fellowship as this old
tradition is maintained. |

for ‘Take a Break’ coffee morning in the Baptist
Church Hall, for it to be an excellent resource for
meeting and making friends.

the new flat and six orphans being introduced into the
outside world by them.
Thank God for this witness to the whole
community. |

Pray for our doctors, for
the nurses, receptionists and pharmacists.
Ask for God’s blessing on them all as they help
many different patients and cope with a huge variety of
problems.

for God’s blessing on the Mothers’ Union meeting
this evening and for a special time of Christian
fellowship.

Bures
School
staff, that they will enjoy a good break next week and
return refreshed and enthused for the rest of the term. |

and John Burmingham whose wedding is today.
Ask for God’s blessing on them and long life
for them both. |

Trinity 1. Pray for the Solos on Sunday lunch today, for a happy
time together for all single people who attend.
Also pray for Baptist Cluster Service in Witham
this evening, for many to attend and a time of great
encouragement for them all. |

Pray for children
to have a happy half term this week.
Pray for their protection from accidents, for
fine weather and happy memories to be formed. |

for Rowan Williams, the Archbishop of Canterbury, for
anointing by the Holy Spirit and the gifts of wisdom and
discernment.

for the ‘Open Door’ coffee morning in the

, and thank God for this chance to stop and relax and
chat.

problems that they will be able to live within their
means and pay back what they owe.
Pray for those helping them such as the
Citizens’ Advice Bureau and the Christian organization
Credit Action. |

Pray for the success of the
organization of future events such as the
Open
Gardens
weekend in June and Bures Music Festival (aka Jazz by
the
Stour
) in July. |

Thank
God for all the wonderful answers to prayer that we have
received, and all the blessings we have living in this
area.
